Woah. New Melee system details. Prepare to die at the same time!
Now, I’m all for fixing the melee system and lessening the host advantage, but 100ms is a big window to kill. Seriously.
Whatever though, they have a lot of cool info in the update. Check it out.

Seriously about time. Lets just see if its actually better.
I know its dumb to say this… but what was wrong with H2’s melee system? It worked. Its H2 but still.

It gave host an obvious advantage. That’s what they say.

I never had a problem with Halo 2’s system. Sure I lost some clashes, but at least my sword slashes were never countered with a shotgun and my rockets never countered with a sniper.

H2’s system = flawed
If you’ve ever played H1, you’d understand these melees. Good for Bungie for going back to their roots.

Halo 1 never had the problem of lag though since XBC and XLink had nothing to do with it. It was all “lan” and therefore that issue wasn’t thought of. It was just made.

It has nothing to do with XBC. In H1, there were multiple times people would beatdown each other and they’d both die.

Hmmmm beat downs…. Must of the time if loose getting beat down is when i dont care and i am running forward to hit them…. If you dont want to lose against this flaw, use your br and walk backwards.

I love watching people try to do the 2 shot and beatdown and get mad… lol Its live it doesnt work.

6 shots with the AR + beatdown = insta-win

like penguin said… dont get close to people and none of it should be a problem.
