Last Month while the economy was in the worst shape in quite some time, the gaming economy actually saw a 47% increase in sales.  We went to the store and spent more than $1.2 billion on consoles, games, and accessories.  Console sales were up 26% led by the Wii, and seconded by the DS.  GTA IV led video game sales wich were up 68% since the previous year.  Only 3.2 million were reported online playing GTA 4 in its first week, while Halo 3 sold 3.75 units in its first week.
