Bungie has announced the 2nd map out of the three that will be included in the Legendary Map Pack due this Spring.
The new map is an ice map based off the memorable Sidewinder from Halo CE.

The purple one (Most likely Midship) was pushed back, so ya.
As for this third one… I think it’s going to be Boarding Action!

Well Bungie talked about an isolated, chilly structure or something along those lines.. it sounds like Lockout, but ugh, if it’s Lockout, KMS.
Lockout = overrated
Mind you, it’s a good map.. but I don’t know how many tens of thousands of games I played on that level.

Luda….. Guardian is the remake of Lockout.
Next remake is Prisoner. Most requested remake and Bungie does what the people want.
As for other remakes…. There was actually a post on HBO about possibly porting all the original Halo 1 and Halo 2 maps on the 360 for Halo 3. It was made by Ske7ch so yes, it’s a legit possibility and not some random newb. (Ske7ch is a Bungie employee for those who don’t know)

A lot of Halo 1 maps wouldn’t work because there’s a lack of a weapon that can kill really fast. That and fall damage.
Anyway, I doubt it will be Lockout because of Guardian. Bungie has said that Guardian is not a Lockout remake.

Lockout would be tricky to remake. Usually when they remake a map, they try to still make it its own map setting wise ,with the exception of Coag and Last Resort. And even with those thry put some big changes. Lockout was a map that they can’t really change the setting out nor can they make big changes to the map itself and have it work the same.
